A WELCOME TO BE PART OF THE CONTINUING REVIVAL OF GRASSROOTS RUGBY

With Australia’s most successful rugby union competition – Sydney’s Intrust Super Shute Shield – due to kick-off its 2019 season on April 6 opportunities remain for sponsors to jump aboard and be part of the continuing revival in grassroots rugby.

“With Intrust Super, Fujitsu, Canon and Charter Hall all continuing their investments in the competition, we’re set for another absorbing and successful period of club rugby,” said Nick Fordham, co-founder of the competition broadcaster, Club Rugby TV. We will also be announcing in the coming weeks some very special brands that have joined this famous competition in 2019”

“With match of the round matches aired on the Seven Network and replayed on Fox Sports, the Intrust Super Shute Shield offers amazing visibility and eyeballs to sponsors,” he says. “We still have sponsorship vacancies for companies who are interested in aligning with the unprecedented success of the Shute Shield in recent years.”

“My Club Rugby TV partner John Murray and I have been inundated with enquiries to jump aboard with us in 2019,”he said. “With the interest in the Shute, both from a television and ground spectator viewpoint, now rising at a staggering rate, the time is right for corporates to engage with one of the world’s oldest and most iconic provincial rugby competitions. More and more brands are wanting to access and connect with community and grassroots sport and this is the perfect vehicle.”

Last year’s Intrust Super Shute Shield telecasts attracted record viewership, while weekly club crowds exceeded all projections. The 2018 grand final between Warringah and Sydney University at North Sydney Oval drew an all-time high attendance approaching 20,000.
