CELEBRATING THE 1984 WALLABIES GRAND SLAM

One of Australia’s greatest sporting triumphs will be re-lived this November when The Fordham Company orchestrates the 30th anniversary of the Australian Wallabies 1984 Grand Slam.

The celebration lunch will be held on Friday, November 14, at The Westin Hotel in Sydney.

Alan Jones, who coached the team to historic victories against England, Ireland, Wales and Scotland, is working closely with The Fordham Company with the planning of the milestone event.

“It was the first time the Wallabies won a Grand Slam and the feat hasn’t been repeated since,” said The Fordham Company CEO John Fordham.

“When the Wallabies achieved that momentous triumph, we organised a celebration dinner immediately on the team’s return in late 1984,’ said Mr Fordham. “It’s therefore an obvious pleasure for us to again be involved in the organisation of the 30th anniversary event with Alan Jones”.

Each member of the 32-man touring team has accepted to attend, with Qantas providing international and domestic air travel as part of its naming rights sponsorship.
