ANDREW JOHNS AGREES TO APPEAR BEFORE RACING INQUIRY
Andrew Johns has this afternoon agreed to appear before Racing NSW’s More Joyous inquiry.
Johns was interviewed by Racing NSW’s chief investigator Nathan Hayward last Friday and later signed a detailed statement that was tendered at yesterday’s hearing.
Racing NSW’s Chairman of Stewards Ray Murrihy, in adjourning the inquiry late yesterday until further notice, requested the attendance of Andrew Johns to attend the inquiry when it is reconvened.
“Andrew’s lawyer Colin Love this afternoon advised Racing NSW of Andrew’s decision to attend the hearing,” Johns’ manager John Fordham confirmed this afternoon.
Neither Andrew Johns nor his management will be making further comment on the matter prior to his attendance at the inquiry.
